Woodland High School’s Homecoming Court candidates showed that Homecoming is about more than just a crown and a title. This year, the candidates came together to participate in a food drive, giving back to the Woodland High School community.
The food drive gave Homecoming Court candidates an opportunity to get involved outside of the usual Homecoming activities. Candidates were out helping collect food and supporting the effort throughout the event.
Their involvement showed committee engagement, teamwork and community service. It was also a chance for the candidates to work together and represent Woodland in a positive way.
Homecoming is a special time for students, but activities like the food drive remind us that being part of the Homecoming Court also comes with an opportunity to serve others. The candidates showed that leadership is not only about being recognized, but also about being willing to step up and help.
Woodland High School would like to thank all of the Homecoming Court candidates who participated, as well as the low country food bank to make this food drive possible.
Their efforts helped make this Homecoming season about more than school spirit. It also became a time to give back and serve our community.
