Woodland High School recently hosted a Meet the Principal event, giving students, parents, staff, and members of the community the opportunity to meet the school's new principal, Robert Benvin, and learn more about his vision for the upcoming school year.
The event was more than just an introduction to the new principal. Principal Benvin talked about expectations for the new school year and shared some of the goals that will help move Woodland High School forward. One of the main focuses will be increasing Wolverine Pride and making sure students, staff, families, and the community feel like they are a part of the Woodland family.
Principal Benvin also discussed the school's philosophy of compassion and accountability. This means making sure students are supported and cared for, while also holding everyone to high expectations and making sure we all take responsibility for our actions.

The Woodland community also had the opportunity to interact with the school's new Assistant Principal, Dr. Precious Jemison, who spent time connecting with community members and getting to know the people who make up the Woodland family. Having new administrators who are willing to interact with the community and listen to their ideas is an important part of building strong relationships.
The event also gave the community a look at some of the new logos, branding, and identity initiatives coming to Woodland High School. The Woodland community can expect to see some new branding around the school, with a little more shimmer and shine being added to the Wolverine identity. These changes are meant to create a stronger and more unified look for the Wolverines, while giving students and staff even more reasons to be proud of their school.
Woodland High School is also wrapping up a successful week of registration, welcoming families and getting students ready for the upcoming school year. The week has been a great opportunity for families to connect with staff, learn more about the school, and make sure everything is ready for a successful start.
As the new school year gets closer, Woodland High School is looking forward to a year filled with growth, new opportunities, and stronger connections. The Meet the Principal event was a great way to bring everyone together and start this new chapter with the Woodland community.

With Principal Robert Benvin and the Woodland High School administration team working alongside students, staff, families, and the community, Woodland High School is ready to continue building a culture based on compassion, accountability, and Wolverine Pride.
