On February 3-5, students from Woodland High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter attended the South Carolina FBLA State Leadership Conference in Greenville, SC. Competing against some of the best business-minded students in the state, Woodland’s participants showcased their skills in various competitive events.
Students competing included:
* Emonny Mays & Alicia Brown – Organizational Leadership
* Desmond Cain & Kerri Davis – Marketing
* Alexxis Martino – Introduction to Business Communication
* Ryan Haynes – Financial Math
* Malachi Parker – Introduction to FBLA
A standout moment from the conference was Kerri Davis' first-place finish in Marketing, earning her the opportunity to represent Woodland High School and South Carolina at the FBLA National Conference this summer in Anaheim, CA.
In addition to competing, students participated in learning workshops and connected with college and university representatives, gaining valuable insights into business careers and higher education opportunities.
Congratulations to all participants for their dedication and hard work! Woodland High School’s CTE programs continue to prepare future business leaders for success. Article by Mary Primus, FBLA Sponsor.
