Subjects Taught
Psychology, U.S. History, World Geography, World History, World History Honors

I graduated from Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA, with a bachelor degree in Mass Communications/Broadcast Journalism.  I went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in History and my secondary teacher certification from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Prior to 2017-2018, I taught middle school World History in the Charleston County School District. In Pennsylvania, I was an online teacher for a special entrepreneur course. I also worked full time as a Youth workforce Specialist.  In that role I worked in several school districts assisting high school students with job experience and career/college plans.

Prior to teaching I was an editor and videographer for Time Warner Cable Media Sales. I produced regional and local advertising campaigns as well as promotional videos.  One of the highlights of my career at Time Warner included producing player segments for the Carolina Hurricanes NHL hockey team during their 2001 Stanley Cup run.

I am excited to be a part of the Woodland High School Wolverine team! We moved to Summerville almost two years ago from my home state of Pennsylvania.  This is not my first time living in the South. We spent 10 years in North Carolina with six years spent on the coast in Wilmington, NC.  It was while living in Wilmington that I decided to pursue my dream of teaching. I am an avid sports fan including college football, NHL hockey and cheering on the Bronco's.  When not at school I can be found spending time with my wife and my 3 boys!  I am excited to work with the students, families and staff in the close-knit community of Dorchester District Four.
